Who Actually Collects our Garbage, Recycling & Organic Waste?
Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection in the Salinas Valley is done by waste haulers who have agreements with each city. Residents subscribe to service with their hauler.
If you live in a single-family home, your weekly garbage service includes:
- Garbage Cart: 20 up to 96 gallons (Usually Brown or Grey)
- Mixed Recycling Cart: 64/65 gallon (Usually Blue)
- Yard Waste Cart: 96 gallon (Sometimes called Green Waste)
