Resource Recovery

What does the Resource Recovery Team Do?

SVR’s Resource Recovery team is the outreach and education branch of Salinas Valley Recycles. The team is committed to fostering sustainability and responsible resource management within our communities. Our primary goal is to encourage behavior change by raising awareness, educating, and engaging the community in sustainable waste management, recycling, and resource conservation practices, contributing to the overall well-being of our residents and the environment.

We work in close partnership with the Salinas Valley Cities, the County, and franchised waste haulers to implement waste reduction programs to better our communities and environment.

Purpose

Teach the community the 5 Rs and how to divert waste properly through outreach and education to achieve a future without landfills.

Mission
