Do you own or manage an apartment complex in the Salinas Valley? Do you provide recycling services for your tenants? If not, we are here to help! Through the efforts of the Monterey Bay Area Regional Multifamily Recycling Grants, funded by CalRecycle, we provide free services and resources to assist in implementing comprehensive recycling programs tailored to meet individual complex’s needs. Implementing recycling can save money on the monthly garbage bill and increase the esthetics of your facility. Salinas Valley Recycles’ staff work with the local garbage and recycling haulers and conduct on-site waste assessments and provide recommendations for service levels and program implementation. We provide free outreach and educational materials for property owners, managers, and residents. We conduct free door-to-door outreach and provide information to residents on what can and cannot be recycled and what to do with bulky items (e.g. mattresses) and special wastes (e.g. batteries, paint, etc.). The recycling materials accepted in the multifamily recycling programs are the same as for single-family homes.
