Join us to help our native plant life thrive by adding milkweed plants to our soil! We'll provide the gloves and shovels, you provide...yourself! It's more fun when we do it together, and very satisfying to see the fruits of our labor.
Free Bikes & Bike Repair
A big shout out to Greenfield Community Science Workshop for providing all of the tools, labor, expertise, and bikes! Our longstanding relationship with GCSW has kept many broken bikes from entering the landfill and into the hands of our community members, which we are so excited to share at our event. Attendees are welcome to bring in a bike from home that needs repair, and Bike Technicians will be onsite to teach you how to fix it! There will also be a bike lot full of repaired and ready-to-use bikes available to take home....for FREE!
Family Games and Cornhole Tournament
We'll have many games and activities ready to play on our pavers and under the oak tree, including rock painting, recycling checkers, and more! Bring your team and competitive side with you to join the Cornhole Tournament, and the winning team gets a prize!
Free Food and Cupcakes
Most importantly.....food! It's not a proper birthday party without food and dessert, and Wally Waste-Not wants to celebrate the right way. We'll have burritos for our guests available before we all sing Happy Birthday to our beloved mascot and hand out cupcakes! Our zero-waste station will be available to toss your leftovers and recyclables.
Compost Workshop and Compost Giveaway
Taught by our Certified Master Composters, we will have a compost booth you can visit to learn how to make this nutrient-rich soil amendment at home. Have all of your compost questions answered, take home additional resources, and stop by our compost pile to take home some certified compost for your gardens and potted plants. This compost was created by Atlas Organics using your food and yard waste from home!
