The County of Monterey has been designated a Clean California Community! We are one of the one hundred communities throughout California that has received this designation from CalTrans in their effort to inspire more communities and their residents to embrace the state’s Zero Litter goal. The designation comes from the support of the Illegal Dumping and Litter Abatement Task Force (IDLATF) of Monterey County of which we serve.
We meet the criteria for this award through our commitment to long-term anti-litter program with our collaboration efforts of everyone on the task force.
We can’t wait to see this sign put out for the public to see! In celebration of our award, the IDLATF met for a community litter clean-up of Gabilan Creek in Salinas.
