Directions:
From Salinas:
Highway 101 South to Fifth Street Exit, Gonzales. Turn Left (East) on Fifth Street. Remain on Fifth Street for 2.5 miles to landfill entrance on right. (Fifth Street changes name to Johnson Canyon Road at Herold Parkway)

From King City:
Highway 101 North to Fifth Street Exit, Gonzales. Turn Right (East) on Fifth Street. Remain on Fifth Street for 2.5 miles to landfill entrance on right. (Fifth Street changes names to Johnson Canyon Road at Herold Parkway)

CLOSED on New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

  • Sharps, such as needles, razors and syringes

  • Electronic waste, like old TVs, computes and cell phones
  • Thermometers, thermostats and other items

HHW Disposal Information:

Do not transport more than 15 gallons or 125 pounds of HHW. Bring chemicals in secure containers and do not mix them! Do not bring explosives, radioactive material, drums, medical waste and unstable chemicals.
